INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:

Tom is a seasoned professional with extensive experience addressing eDiscovery and other information governance challenges.  With over 20 years of experience advising on complex information law issues, Tom is adept at guiding clients with diverse stakeholders to reach alignment on objectives and then take the necessary actions to achieve goals.  

Tom has worked alongside law firms and corporate law departments to design, implement, and scale solutions that address each organization’s legal, technology, and business goals.  As a Managing Director at Redgrave LLP, Tom assists clients with identifying critical issues within discovery and information governance frameworks and presenting practical strategies for enhancing internal processes and leveraging industry best practices.  He also focuses on developing efficient and cost-effective methodologies for data processing, hosting, and reviewing projects, as well as deploying targeted approaches for preserving, collecting, and analyzing data.  Tom is a trusted advisor to clients and case teams on technology and workflow solutions.

Some of Tom’s recent work experience includes: 

  • Coordinating large scale eDiscovery collection efforts involving over 50TBs of data from thousands of laptops, mobile devices, and M365 (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams), social media, and website collections in connection with “bet the company” litigation
  • Advising Fortune 50 insurance clients regarding their selection and implementation of a primary provider for eDiscovery processing and hosting services
  • Documenting procedures for the collection of custodian computer and mobile devices to serve as a baseline for engaging service providers to collect electronically stored evidence
  • Consulting with clients regarding the transition to Microsoft 365 and strategic plans for data management and litigation response
  • Developing strategies and assessing approaches for the preservation, collection, and analysis of structured and unstructured data for multiple clients in litigation and investigation contexts
  • Identifying and implementing information governance best practices for multiple clients
  • Developing and implementing a privilege log tracking system to compare and assess document-level privilege treatment across matters
  • Leading the selection of discovery solutions, including requirements building, product selection, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Consulting with clients implementing legal hold notification and in-place preservation solutions and migrating from legacy solutions to new solutions
  • Assisting clients prepare for Rule 30(b)(6) depositions and Rule 26(f) meet and confer conferences

Before rejoining Redgrave LLP in 2024, Tom was the Director of Strategic Consulting at Redgrave Data.  His prior experience includes working with clients on eDiscovery and information governance issues as a Director at Redgrave LLP.  Tom also worked at UnitedLex as the Managing Director of eDiscovery Professional Services, at Huron Consulting Group as an Associate, and at Redgrave Daley Ragan & Wagner LLP as an Analyst.

EDUCATION:

Tom received a B.G.S. from the University of Kansas and a Masters in Management Information Systems (MMIS) from Friends University.  He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, a RelativityOne Certified Professional certification from Relativity, and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
