Alyssa has experience dealing with discovery issues in high-stakes matters, including in white-collar investigations, regulatory enforcement actions, and complex commercial litigation matters. 

Alyssa assists clients with a full spectrum of discovery needs, including drafting legal hold notices and preservation plans, negotiating production protocols, scoping document collections, engaging in all aspects of offensive and defensive discovery, advising on discovery dispute resolution, and overseeing reviews and productions.

Alyssa has also led criminal, regulatory, and internal investigations where she has conducted witness interviews, overseen complex document collections, reviews, and productions, analyzed complex factual and legal issues, and presented effective presentations to government regulators and clients.  

Alyssa has significant experience working on pro bono matters related to LGBTQ+ issues, such as securing asylum for LGBTQ+ individuals and contributing to an amicus brief cited by a federal court in overturning restrictions on LGBTQ+ military members. 

Prior to joining Redgrave, Alyssa worked as an associate attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.  She was also a legal intern at the United States Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Illinois.

Alyssa’s work experience includes:

  • Advising a major pharmaceutical company and a multinational technology company regarding discovery best practices
  • Overseeing privilege review, preparing privilege logs, and negotiating regarding privilege challenges for a major transportation company in a large federal class action
  • Briefing and responding to motions and filings in federal and state courts, including both dispositive motions and discovery-related motions, such as motions to compel and sanctions motions, for a variety of clients ranging from large tech companies to financial institutions to individuals
  • Working with opposing counsel to define the scope of discovery and establish document production protocols, including in federal criminal and regulatory actions as well as complex commercial and securities litigation
  • Preparing for and conducting depositions and hearings, including preparing witnesses for hearings regarding discovery compliance in federal court
  • Working with expert witnesses in criminal and civil litigation
  • Leading regulatory and internal investigations in the white-collar and employment context
  • Negotiating and drafting complex settlements, including in the criminal and regulatory context
