Ben has an extensive background in Information Law issues in the context of complex civil litigation and corporate information management. He supports clients in all stages of discovery in complex litigation matters, including preparing protective orders and electronically stored information (ESI) protocols, managing large-scale document production and review, drafting privilege logs, and managing exhibits and litigation support for jury trials. Ben’s experience also includes drafting and arguing briefs and motions, including at the appellate level, and assisting with depositions and court hearings.
Ben also works with clients on a range of information governance matters, including developing and advising clients on Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and other policies related to the governance of text messages, emails, and mobile devices. He also advises clients on developing preservation strategies and discovery “playbooks,” drafting legal hold policies, understanding legal hold obligations, implementing information governance training, and enacting defensible document right-sizing.
Ben is a participating fellow in the Lawyers for Civil Justice Fellows Program, which provides a mentorship platform for rising defense bar leaders.
Prior to joining Redgrave, Ben worked as an attorney at Sopko, Nussbaum, Inabnit, and Kaczmarek. He also served as an extern to the Honorable Craig B. Shaffer of the United States District Court, District of Colorado. In law school, Ben served as an Articles Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review and authored “The Legality of Class Action Waivers in Employment Contracts,” 92 Notre Dame L. Rev. 1841 (2017). He was also the recipient of the 2018 William T. Kirby Award for Excellence in Legal Writing.
