Casey is a skilled trial and appellate lawyer with extensive experience handling complex litigation, investigation, and regulatory matters. Casey has represented clients in securities, antitrust, and product liability matters, and has served as first-chair in dozens of cases involving securities law violations.
Casey counsels clients on developing and executing defensible eDiscovery strategies and processes throughout the lifecycle of complex litigation and investigations. His work includes discovery coordination and trial preparation, including taking and defending depositions, presenting witnesses at trials and arbitrations, briefing and arguing appeals, and negotiating settlements. Casey’s substantial litigation experience provides him with critical insights to help clients navigate the discovery process effectively and efficiently, resolving disputes through negotiation and, if necessary, courtroom advocacy.
Before joining Redgrave, Casey was a senior trial attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he received a Director’s Award in 2024 for his exceptional work on behalf of the Commission in multiple securities fraud cases. Prior to his time at the SEC, Casey was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Casey also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jay S. Bybee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. In law school, Casey served as the Executive Editor of The University of Chicago Law Review.
