Jordan has over 15 years of experience in litigation and investigations in the private and public sectors, and has counseled corporate clients on civil and criminal matters, as well as internal compliance and misconduct investigations, across a broad array of sectors, including health and liability insurance; healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and medical technology; banking and financial services; aviation and aerospace; metals and mining; and the defense industry.

His experience includes developing defense strategy, negotiating with opposing counsel and enforcement agencies, deposing and examining both lay and expert witnesses, and presenting a case to a jury.

At Redgrave, Jordan handles all aspects of discovery for complex litigation matters, including advising on and drafting litigation hold memoranda, briefing technical issues related to governing discovery documents, drafting document review protocols, overseeing productions, and coordinating responses to wide-ranging privilege and clawback challenges.  Jordan is a certified Brainspace Analyst.

Before joining Redgrave, Jordan served the State of Illinois as general counsel for the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission.  Prior to that role, he was a senior associate at Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago.  After law school, Jordan was selected as an E. Barrett Prettyman Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center.

Jordan’s work experience includes:

  • Advising on technical data preservation and collection issues, drafting targeted litigation hold notices, and negotiating comprehensive electronically stored information (ESI) protocols, protective orders, and other essential discovery orders for a major pharmaceutical company facing litigation across multiple states and jurisdictions
  • Managing the day-to-day implementation of discovery efforts, including large-scale document collection and review processes, for a large healthcare and insurance company in a set of related antitrust matters
  • Supervising workflows related to attorney-client privilege concerns as part of a remediation effort in “bet the company” multidistrict litigation for an FDA-regulated company, including execution of privilege-focused document reviews, privilege-based clawback notices, and responses to clawback challenges
  • Coordinating and conducting dozens of employee interviews to identify relevant data custodians, create an exhaustive map of data sources for preservation, and guide multifaceted collection efforts in service of a large manufacturing company’s discovery responses amid proliferating lawsuits across multiple states
  • Investigating the factual basis and researching case law support for complicated evidence spoliation allegations to trace potential concerns, propose practical solutions, and recommend a course of action to a large finance and insurance company
