Josh is an experienced litigator with a background in a wide range of standard and complex litigation areas, including contract disputes, employment discrimination, intellectual property matters, restrictive covenants, consumer fraud, unfair competition, insurance disputes, product liability, antitrust claims, class actions, multidistrict litigation, and government/regulatory investigations.

At Redgrave, Josh formulates strategies for discovery, including handling court conferences and negotiations with opposing parties, drafting motions and stipulations, and overseeing all aspects of litigation preparation and discovery.  Josh advises clients on responding to discovery requests and subpoenas, search terms, analytics, and early case assessment.  He works with client teams to oversee and guide document reviews and handles complex issues related to confidentiality and privilege.  Josh also has significant experience supporting the Firm’s expert witness engagements.

Outside of litigation, Josh counsels clients on developing eDiscovery and information governance policies and implementing programs that enhance compliance, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and risk management.

Before joining Redgrave, Josh was Chair of the eDiscovery Practice Group at Fox Rothschild LLP and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Wallitsch at the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas.

Josh’s work experience includes:

  • Developing processes and workflows for the processing, review, production, and privilege logging of documents from newer messaging platforms, such as Slack, in a nationwide class action and investigation involving an FDA-regulated company
  • Representing a large healthcare company in a qui tam action involving medical payment claims and assisting with the defense of complex privilege log challenges and preparing a motion to seal to protect patient PHI and other confidential business information
  • Drafting ESI Protocols across multiple actions in both state and federal courts in a high-profile action for a major transportation company
  • Providing legal and practical considerations for in-house counsel of a global automotive manufacturing company regarding the crafting of “Day One” letters to confirm and limit the scope of legal holds
  • Advising a large pharmaceutical corporation regarding the available technology, legal implications, and other considerations regarding the monitoring of Microsoft Teams messages for violations of and/or compliance with company communication policies
