Kristen has over a decade of experience advising clients on all phases of discovery during litigation, enforcement actions, and internal investigations and assisting clients in responding to Second Requests. She has also defended clients in False Claims Act investigations and litigation, represented clients in breach of contract litigation, and advised clients regarding a wide range of government contracting matters.
Kristen counsels clients across a variety of industries, including technology focused companies, telecommunications providers, and pharmaceutical companies, and provides advice on a wide range of discovery-related issues. Her work includes crafting and implementing defensible pre-trial discovery strategies and assisting clients in responding to Second Requests from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Prior to joining the Firm, Kristen was a counsel at Sidley Austin LLP. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable James C. Turk, U.S. District Court, W.D. of Virginia. During law school, Kristen was a Senior Editor of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business. She authored “Enforcement of U.S. Electronic Discovery Law Against Foreign Companies: Should U.S. Courts Give Effect to the EU Data Protection Directive?,” 10 Rich. J. Global L. & Bus. 111, 2010.
