With over 25 years of experience in information governance and records management, Laurie applies her extensive industry knowledge to support clients in developing and implementing enterprise-wide records and information management and information governance compliance policies, standards, and procedures.

As a Director at the Firm, Laurie assists client teams in devising and executing data management solutions, including for issues such as data lifecycle management, information protection, data loss prevention, data privacy and minimization, information security, system decommissioning, legacy data remediation, and legal hold processes.  Laurie holds certifications as a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and Information Governance Professional (IGP).

Before joining Redgrave, Laurie served as the Director of Records and Information Management at The Walt Disney Company.  Her professional background also includes roles in records management at Koch Industries and ICOS Corporation. 

Laurie is a sought-after speaker on a range of topics, including gamification, program marketing, partnerships and alliances, third-party data management, the impact of cyber security on information governance, electronic records management, and records management fundamentals.  She also volunteers as the Head Mentor for the Young Storytellers program in her local elementary school system.

Laurie’s work experience includes:

  • Assessing and delivering a client presentation regarding a large regional retail company’s current state of Information Governance
  • Advising on the creation or modernization of Information Governance policies and processes, including RIM Policy, acceptable use policy, employee offboarding process, technology offboarding process, and data classification categories for multiple clients, including a major pharmaceutical company, a nationwide retailer, and a national trade advocacy organization
  • Developing standard operating procedures for the preservation and collection of Microsoft Teams data for a nationwide retailer
  • Assessing and recommending approaches to solve data governance concerns, including eDiscovery, personal data minimization, data lifecycle management, access and insider threats, system decommissioning, legacy data remediation, records and information management, and data ownership for clients in multiple industries, including the entertainment, energy, and life sciences spaces
  • Creating a Global Records Retention Schedule to encompass more than 40 countries and regional entities for a large multinational corporation
  • Devising and managing offsite storage and legacy data remediation strategies in the entertainment, energy, life sciences, and property management/development industries
  • Developing and instituting compliance training programs in the entertainment, energy, and life sciences industries
  • Implementing retention programs in electronic systems
