Lionel has significant experience managing eDiscovery projects for large clients, including crafting policies and processes to create and streamline repeatable discovery workflows.  Lionel’s advanced knowledge of eDiscovery technologies, including Brainspace and Relativity, enables him to recommend and support technical solutions.

Prior to joining Redgrave, Lionel was the Director of Data and Technology at Ankura.  His work experience also includes eDiscovery project management roles at Lighthouse, UnitedLex, and Page One Legal LLC and attorney positions with Legality and Troutman Pepper Emerge, where he was awarded the 2018 Project of the Year Award.  Lionel also served as the Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee’s Civil Rights and Claims Division.

Lionel’s certifications include Brainspace Certified Administrator, Brainspace Certified Analyst, Brainspace Certified Specialist, Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), Relativity Analytics Specialist, and Relativity Certified User (RCU).

Lionel’s work experience includes:

  • Leading process improvement implementations for a large finance and insurance company, including advising key stakeholders on workflows, best practices, and software utilization to optimize tracking across related state court matters
  • Designing targeted strategies and workflows for analyzing and tracking data collections and production efforts across multiple matters for a large finance and insurance company
  • Conducting key eDiscovery tasks for a large healthcare and insurance company, including name normalization analysis, structured analytics analysis, executing complex searches, and validating complex production sets
  • Working with a multinational retail company to provide ongoing guidance on eDiscovery, information governance, and privacy issues, including rightsizing data preservation efforts related to significant litigation and regulatory compliance issues
