Comprehensive eDiscovery Playbook Development and Disposition, Migration, and Preservation Guidance
We provide ongoing advice on eDiscovery, information governance, and privacy issues for a global automotive company.
Our team has been engaged in overseeing multiple projects, including developing an eDiscovery playbook to define discovery processes and procedures—from preservation through production—across the company, implementing a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy, and drafting standard operating procedures for leveraging Microsoft 365 (M365), including advising on Microsoft Teams and M365 configurations and defining corresponding implications for discovery. We have also been engaged to advise the client on possession, custody, and control concerning electronically stored information (ESI), best practices for handling personal identifiable information (PII), and considerations for conducting cloud-based discovery.
We have also provided the client with disposition, migration, and preservation guidance on data archive systems. The Redgrave team assisted the client in rescoping legal holds to allow for the disposition of unresponsive data within these systems and right-sizing preservation across the company. We worked with the client’s Legal department to develop processes and procedures concerning disposition, migration, and preservation that are repeated each time the company plans to upgrade a system or platform subject to a legal hold to right-size retention and enhance defensibility.
