Information Governance Program Review and Guidance
A nationwide retail chain engaged the Firm to provide guidance on information governance issues during the company’s transition to a fully remote workplace.
The work involved addressing the handling of hard-copy files housed in its brick-and-mortar facilities, as well as updates to the client’s information governance policies and procedures to reflect its new working environment. Our team led a systematic review, categorization, and disposition of the client’s hard-copy documents and provided strategic advice concerning updates to its information governance program. We analyzed the existing legal holds policy and developed records relocation protocols to ensure the appropriate handling of records for retention and legal hold preservation purposes.
Our guidance also included revising the client’s records management policy manual and drafting new policies and procedures to harmonize information governance practices across the company that enhance the client’s business functionality and efficiency.
