William E. Farrior

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:

A skilled litigator, William (“Will”) brings extensive experience prosecuting complex matters and addressing unique discovery issues to his role as Senior Counsel at Redgrave LLP. He understands the challenges at the intersection of law and technology, and he works with clients to provide strategic counsel and navigate practical pathways to address discovery in bet-the-company matters and highly contentious disputes.

As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) and Department of Justice (DOJ) Trial Attorney, Will’s experience includes litigating major financial crimes and complex civil litigation matters.  He has conducted multiple jury and bench trials as first chair and briefed and argued before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Will is adept at navigating discovery issues in litigation, including developing and implementing policies to ensure compliance with discovery obligations. He leverages his knowledge of the evolving technology landscape to advise on the use of automated litigation tools in matters to maximize efficiency. Will’s background also includes resolving electronic evidence issues as the Western District of Oklahoma’s designated Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property AUSA. 

At Redgrave LLP, Will works with clients to develop appropriate and effective discovery strategies in complex litigation matters. Leveraging his deep background, Will manages the entire discovery process and develops strategic discovery plans, handles fact development, drafts briefs, motions, and pleadings, takes and defends depositions, argues motions, oversees witness interviews, and drafts discovery requests. He also identifies, evaluates, and advises clients on emerging technologies and tools to help clients stay on the cutting edge from a legal and business perspective. Will is a thought leader and speaker on various legal topics, including providing intensive training sessions on federal criminal tax prosecutions and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. 

Before joining Redgrave LLP, Will worked for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma.  In this role, Will served as eLitigation Coordinator and oversaw the eLitigation support unit.  He also served as a Trial Attorney for the DOJ Tax Division and was part of the Attorney General’s Honors Program. In this role, Will worked on complex high stakes matters and handled a full docket of his own civil cases. Will received the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award in 2021.  Following law school, Will served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Robert H. Henry of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. 

EDUCATION:

Will received his J.D., with Highest Honors, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and his B.A. from Dartmouth College. Among other honors, Will received the Joel Jankowsy Award, naming him the outstanding graduate of his law school class, and the Nathan Scarritt Prize for having the highest academic record. During law school, Will was an Articles Editor for the Oklahoma Law Review.  He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and the District of Columbia.
