Redgrave LLP Welcomes Thomas Lidbury as a Partner in Chicago

eDiscovery and information governance practitioner brings decades of trial and appellate experience

CHICAGO (Dec. 10, 2024) – Redgrave LLP, the premier law firm focusing exclusively on eDiscovery and Information Law, is pleased to announce that  Thomas A. Lidbury has joined the Firm as a Partner in Chicago, Illinois.
 

Tom is a leading practitioner in eDiscovery and information governance and brings to Redgrave extensive trial and appellate experience in venues across the country.  Prior to joining Redgrave, he was a shareholder at Ogletree Deakins.  He previously served as director of eDiscovery at Health Care Service Corporation and as a partner at several Am Law 100 firms.

At Redgrave, Tom advises clients on a wide range of discovery issues at multiple stages of litigation, including legal hold, preservation, collection, review, and production of data through trial.  He also works with clients to define, develop, and execute practical information governance strategies and programs that consider business needs and technology environments.

Tom has successfully tried cases to verdict, including winning a $159 million jury verdict, and has briefed and argued appeals in state and federal appellate courts.  He also has testified as an expert witness on eDiscovery in high-stakes litigation and presided as a special master over eDiscovery and forensics issues.  Tom was a founding member of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program Committee and co-chaired its Principle Development Subcommittee.  He is a frequent author and speaker on eDiscovery issues and has taught eDiscovery and legal ethics at Chicago-Kent College of Law and the University of Chicago Law School. 

Tom earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago.
