Selecting a review team is a strategic choice that can provide tangible benefits to companies facing significant investigation and litigation events.  We launched Redgrave Review & Analytics (“R&A”) to oversee and conduct strategic document reviews tailored to unique client and matter needs and to leverage the most defensible and efficient tools and workflows to achieve the best client outcomes.  Our R&A team has extensive experience in complex litigation management and document review and brings a robust, tech-savvy, and seamless approach to matters.

Brian discusses how law firms benefit from partnering with Redgrave on document reviews.

What can clients expect when working with you and the Redgrave R&A team?

When we partner with another law firm, we work hand-in-hand with trial counsel to effectively and efficiently address discovery issues for the client.  Sometimes, we work behind the scenes; sometimes, we are on the front lines in trial and appellate courts.  When a law firm asks us to join the team, they can rest assured that they have a trusted partner managing the often onerous discovery process, so they are free to focus squarely on the merits of the matter.

How does this approach provide value to clients?

At Redgrave, we focus on one area—Information Law—and we do not do anything else.  This focused experience and knowledge allow us to be a perfect partner for other law firms.  Our institutional knowledge of our clients' needs and goals provides efficiency across matters that do not have to be recreated for each case.  Since we do not practice other areas of law, we allow trial counsel to focus on what they do best, creating a collaborative team that directly benefits the client.

How does the evolving technology landscape affect your practice? How does it affect clients?

The amount of data clients generate across various platforms continues to proliferate and is one of the main drivers of discovery costs.  When we work in tandem with trial counsel, we find that efficiency and cost-savings are increased if we are engaged in the matter before litigation.  This proactive approach allows us to create defensible retention policies and a discovery playbook to help mitigate litigation costs.  However, if we are brought into a matter at a later point, we frequently use technology and tailored review workflows to create efficiencies and reduce client costs, while ensuring that trial counsel gets what they need when they need it.  Technology presents challenges and opportunities daily, and our experienced team helps clients and trial counsel navigate them effectively.

_________ is the most important thing to have in my work environment.

Banjo!  Not a banjo, but my two-year-old Beagle, Banjo! He demands a few short walks daily, which provide a great escape, and occasionally belly rubs.  He is the best work companion!
