The Sedona Conference Publishes Primer on Managing Electronic Discovery in Small Cases
Martin Tully and Redgrave Data's Tara Emory served as Steering Committee Liaisons on this publication project spearheaded by The Sedona Conference and its Working Group 1 on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1).
The Sedona Conference Primer on Managing Electronic Discovery in Small Cases (the "Primer") offers best practices and practical guidance tailored to cases involving smaller quantities or less complex varieties of electronically stored information (ESI) or in which the smaller stakes involved significantly limit the time and money that can and should be spent on electronic discovery.
While some of the guidance may diverge from what The Sedona Conference recommends for larger, complex cases, the Primer reinforces the central role of cooperation between the parties in effectively and efficiently managing discovery in small cases.
